How to Set Up a Proxy on BlueStacks

By SentraCell · October 29, 2026 · 3 min read

BlueStacks runs Android apps on your computer, but out of the box every instance uses your real IP. If you run several instances for different accounts, they all share that one IP, and that's the fastest way to get them linked. Putting a proxy on each instance makes each one look like its own phone on its own connection.

BlueStacks has no proxy setting of its own, so this guide uses Super Proxy, a small Android app that sends the whole instance's traffic through a SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy. It follows the video step by step, using one of our dedicated SentraCell proxies over SOCKS5.

What You'll Need

Step-by-Step Setup

You're live. Every app in that BlueStacks instance now goes through your mobile proxy for as long as Super Proxy is running.

Pro Tip

Running more than one account? Make a separate instance for each one in the BlueStacks Multi-Instance Manager, install Super Proxy in each, and give each instance its own proxy. Name every instance after the account and the proxy it uses so you never put two accounts on the same IP by accident.

How to Rotate Your IP

Open the SentraCell bot and tap Rotate IP. The phone reconnects to the carrier and comes back with a new IP in 5 to 10 seconds. You don't need to change anything in Super Proxy: the login stays the same. If an app inside BlueStacks still shows the old IP, tap Stop and then Start in Super Proxy.

If It Doesn't Work

Nothing happens when you tap Start. The first time, Android asks to allow the connection. Tap OK on that prompt, then check that the timer is counting.

Chrome still shows your real IP. Super Proxy isn't running. Open it, make sure your profile is selected and the timer is counting, then reload the page.

It won't connect. Copy each field from the bot again and paste it fresh. A space at the start or end of a field is the usual cause. Also check that the protocol matches the login: SOCKS5 for SOCKS5 details, HTTP for HTTP.

Location looks wrong. IP checkers show the carrier's registered location, which can be a nearby city. The IP will still be a US mobile IP from the right carrier.

BlueStacks Proxy FAQ

Does BlueStacks have its own proxy setting?

No. That's why you need an app like Super Proxy inside BlueStacks. It sends the whole instance through your proxy, not just the browser.

Do I need a separate proxy for each instance?

If the accounts need to look unrelated, yes. Instances that share a proxy share one IP, so put one proxy on each instance.

SOCKS5 or HTTP?

Both work in Super Proxy. SOCKS5 is the better default because it carries every kind of traffic. Use HTTP only if you have a reason to.

Need a Mobile Proxy for BlueStacks?

SentraCell runs dedicated mobile proxies on real US phones, used only by you. SOCKS5 and HTTP ready, rotate any time. Message us the word YOUTUBE for $30 off your first month.
