How to Set Up a Proxy in Hidemyacc

Hidemyacc is an antidetect browser where every profile gets its own fingerprint. The fingerprint only does half the job, though: if every profile still leaves through the same IP, the accounts can be linked anyway. Giving each profile its own proxy fixes that, and in Hidemyacc it takes about two minutes because it accepts the whole proxy string in one paste.

This guide follows the video step by step, using one of our dedicated SentraCell proxies over SOCKS5. HTTP works the same way; you just pick a different type in step 5.

What You'll Need

• •Hidemyacc, downloaded from hidemyacc.com (there are Mac and PC versions) and signed in.
• •Your SOCKS5 proxy string: host:port:username:password. SentraCell customers get it in @sentracell_proxies_bot on Telegram.

Step-by-Step Setup

  Open Hidemyacc and sign in. You land on the profiles page, which is where every browser profile lives.

  Click the plus icon to create a new profile.

  Name the profile. Any name works; in the video it's "YT1".

  Copy your SOCKS5 string from the bot. In the SentraCell bot, open your proxy's credentials and copy the SOCKS5 line. It comes as host:port:username:password.

  Go to Proxy and pick the type. Open the proxy section of the profile and choose SOCKS5 (or HTTP if that's the string you copied).

  Paste the whole string. Hidemyacc takes the full host:port:username:password line in one paste, so you don't have to split it into separate fields.

  Click Create. The profile is saved with the proxy attached.

  Open the profile. The first time, Hidemyacc downloads and unpacks its browser before it opens, so give it a moment. If it asks for a permission when it opens, click Allow.

  Check the IP. Go to whatismyip.com in the profile. It should show your mobile proxy's IP and location, Texas in the video, not your home connection.

How to Rotate Your IP

Open the SentraCell bot and tap Rotate IP. The phone reconnects to the carrier and comes back with a new IP in 5 to 10 seconds. You don't need to change anything in Hidemyacc: the login stays the same, and the profile uses the new IP on the next page load.

If It Doesn't Work

The profile won't connect. Copy the string from the bot again and paste it fresh. A space at the start or end is the usual cause. Also check the type matches the string: SOCKS5 for the SOCKS5 line, HTTP for the HTTP one.

The profile shows your real IP. The proxy wasn't saved with the profile. Edit the profile, open the proxy section, and make sure your proxy is there.

Location looks wrong. IP checkers show the carrier's registered location, which can be a nearby city. The IP will still be a US mobile IP from the right carrier.

Can I use one proxy on several profiles?

You can, but then those profiles share one IP. For accounts that need to look unrelated, use one proxy per profile.

SOCKS5 or HTTP?

Both work in Hidemyacc. SOCKS5 is the better default because it carries every kind of traffic. Use HTTP only if a tool you're running needs it.

Why did the profile take a while to open the first time?

Hidemyacc downloads its browser the first time you open a profile. After that, profiles open right away.
