How to Set Up WireGuard on macOS with a Mobile Proxy

By SentraCell, August 12, 2026, 4 min read

This guide walks through routing your entire Mac through a dedicated SentraCell mobile proxy using WireGuard: one real Android phone on a US carrier SIM, assigned to your account, carrying everything your computer does. It follows the exact setup shown in the video, step by step.

WireGuard is different from the browser setups in our other guides. Instead of one browser profile using the proxy, WireGuard is a system-wide tunnel: once it's active, apps, browsers, and background traffic on the Mac all exit through your SentraCell device. SentraCell generates the WireGuard config for you directly in the Telegram bot, so there's nothing to write by hand.

Before you start: You'll need an active SentraCell proxy, the WireGuard config is generated from your Telegram bot. Don't have a proxy yet? Message us on Telegram to get set up in under 10 minutes.

What You'll Need

Step-by-Step Setup

That is it. With the tunnel active, traffic on the Mac exits through a real US carrier mobile IP. Deactivate the tunnel in WireGuard any time to go back to your normal connection.

How to Rotate Your IP

Same as always with SentraCell: open your on-demand rotation link in any browser tab, and your device pulls a fresh carrier IP in about 5 to 10 seconds. The WireGuard tunnel stays up through the rotation, refresh your IP checker and the address changes while staying on the same US carrier.

Pro Tip

WireGuard is the right tool when you want the whole machine on the proxy. If you only want specific browser profiles proxied, use a SOCKS5 setup in an antidetect browser instead, see our GoLogin, BitBrowser, and Kameleo guides, and save the tunnel for full-system work.

Why Run Your Whole Mac Through a Mobile IP

A browser-level proxy covers the browser, and nothing else. Desktop apps, background services, and anything outside that browser still exit through your real connection, which can matter when the tools you run make their own network calls.

A WireGuard tunnel to a dedicated mobile device closes that gap completely. Everything the Mac sends leaves through one real phone on Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile, one consistent US mobile identity for the whole system, with no datacenter flag and nobody else's traffic on your IP.
